| Todd Snider | "If making people laugh was all he could do, Snider wouldn’t be as good as he is. What’s special is how he makes you care about the twisted heroes and (somewhat) regular folks who stumble through his songs. He serves it up in a slightly nasal voice that cracks around the edge, following his own path through country traveled by John Prine and early Bob Dylan".........Paste Magazine |
| The Mississippi Boychoir | My dear, dear mother's boychoir.....The Mississippi Boychoir. My biggest inspiration, my mother!!! She is truley my heart & soul, knows my direction and life. Her boys have toured the world and continue to venture into new worlds. She has taken them and continues to take them on a path outside their Mississippi land. |
| mistersmartiepants.com | A new friend of mine from New Orleans, Heidi Ross, is extremely creative and is well on her way to higher places. Her website is one example of her ideas/art/writing/humor where you can actually purchase cool t-shirts and none other than the Bozeman Police Report Calendar. |
| Wendy Bugatti | My touring pal and now very close friend.....guys, she's foxilicious (sp?) and super cool.Wendy is an outstanding performer/songwriter and is also a recording engineer and producer at her studio in Madison, WI, Coney Island Records |
| Mack Starks | “Nashville has produced yet another incredible songwriter
in Mack Starks. His |
| Amelia White | "Amelia sings of palm readers, jilted sailors and the packing away of bittersweet mementos in a clear, pretty voice that never tries to match its surroundings the way a dilettante might."-Nashville Scene |
| Matthew Ryan | “A collection of big-sounding songs about big ideas,
this criminally underrated singer-songwriter’s fourth full set offers
stunning meditations on devastation, vulnerability, and hope.” |
| Pascal | The first "band" that I was ever in, was called the Picardi Three back in the early '90's. It was a 3 piece band made up of 2 violins and a guitarist/singer. This singer/guitarist's name was Pascal, and he wrote all of our songs. We sang songs about butterbeans, Bubba, cornbread, colors (Green), and all kinds of other stuff. It was a lot of fun & it was where I first got lost in performing music that was different than the quartets and chamber groups that I was used to playing in. (where is bobbi, by the way, the other fiddle player? anybody know?)Now, Pascal is living the big life in NYC and has just put out a cd that I absolutely love. Pascal is unique and his songs are creative with an edge and still catchy all at the same time. |
| Kim Carson | A dear friend of mine for at least 7 years, Kim Carson, is the real thing when it comes to country/roots music. Kim works hard and has fans all around the world. It's been a pleasure of mine getting to play fiddle with her through the years. From her bio.....Growing up in rural Texas and Oklahoma and now based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, Kim Carson’s sound is a gumbo of original high energy roots rock and renegade honky-tonk music. |
| Jordan Chassan | I met Jordan several years before moving to Nashville. I heard him perform at one of Billy Block's showcases and was really blown away with his songs and his sound. We became friends after discovering we shared the same taste in music and as a result worked together on my 3 song EP in 2001, which he co-produced.from his bio...Chassan is involved as producer with several projects in various stages of completion. Amy Allison 's album The Maudlin Years (Koch International) got lots of attention when it was released and recently popped up on Elvis Costello 's list of 500 albums "essential to a happy life" as published in a special music issue of Vanity Fair magazine. Also completed is a solo album (vocal and guitar recorded live to stereo) by the late Walter Hyatt , much loved but as yet unreleased. |
